The Change Management community will have to adapt
The term ‘new norm’ has been widely used – almost as widely used as ‘unprecedented’ through the pandemic – and it has gathered a sense of the familiar. BUT… this familiarity relates to our personal lives. In organisations we are only just starting on that journey and it’s going to be a long journey. A journey that includes a whole new order, where technology moves at lightning speed, where industries have to adapt to survive, and where there are new geopolitical realities like Brexit.
The Change Management community needs to pivot to face multiple changes being delivered to battle-fatigued colleagues who never signed-up to these ‘unprecedented’ circumstances. We need to explain the changes coming in a clear, joined-up way bringing key stakeholders with us.
Brotzen Mayne has done its bit to help build communication and engagement skills by creating a CPD accredited on-line training course: Communicate the Change. It includes useful templates and empowers the Change Management community to manage communication and ensure the ‘new norm’ is understood and adopted.
